Happy Birthday Paige

So I am a BAD mom, really not, but sometimes I feel like it.  I have not blogged Paige’s birthday.  Although her “real” birthday is not for a few mores days.  SHe was just a little impatient so she came almost 3 weeks early.   Needless to say she is still a bit impatient.

A bit about Paiges birth, since it is such an interesting story.  We were still in NY and being March it was still COLD.  We had just had a little bit of a snow storm and my hubby was on call that night.  I had calle dhim early inthe day to tell him something was up.  Ya know how you just KNOW somethings, well this was one of those things.  So he tells me I am just anxious, etc….. So I go and make arrangements for Hannah and he really thinks I am nuts.

He get home at about 10:00 and takes a quick shower and crawls into bed.  Meanwhile I am MISERABLE.  I am having contractions and all these other things.  SO I finally call the Dr, she says come on in.  WELL that is an hour drive on a good day, so my poor hubby who had been to work since about 6:30 that morning had to get back out of bed and drive me to the hospital, ANd lo and behold THEY KEEP ME THERE.  I love being right, LOL.

Anyhow, at 5:58 am Little Miss PAige made her way into the world, at a whole 7lbs 6 ozs.  And very bit of bright orange hair, which matched her skin.

She ended up spending almost two weeks in the Hospital, most of it in the NICU.  She was pretty jaundice.  I do not have any pictures of her there, i was to stressed the MY BABY was in there and most of her little pictures are on the other computer but here are some over the past few years.

WOW has it really been that long???

Okay so I have become an extremely terrible blogger.  I have missed my b-day, Christams, Torie’s b-day and hubby’s b-day.

So to get back to speed on things, I think I’ll just post some random photos to get caught back up and then I’ll get better.

Well I really need to get some more recent photo’s of the boy and my little red head who will be SEVEN in two days.  Where did the time go.  It hits me more with her than any of the other kiddo’s

Hannah played Volleyball this month

The third graders got to start sports at the Academy this year, so on the fall agenda for girls was volleyball. It is quite commical to see a group of 3-6th grades playing volleyball, I do mean this in a very loving sense. For those of you have been there before you know what I mean.

This was her first game(I only know because she got glasses a few weeks into volleyball) and I was not able to attend all her games.

Here is her team photo from the tournament/awards ceremony they had just a week ago. They got third place out of 4 teams. And she got medal with her team name on the back of it.

Annalee’s Thanksgiving outfit

Here is the Thanksgiving day set I made for my niece.

The Brown Tulle skirt is my own creation, the side snap top is from another ottobre pattern(do we see a trend here?).  Turkey embroidery design is from here

Unfortunately my “model” was not cooperating with me.  Her one arm is almost completely fallen off.

I did some sewing

Although this is only a fraction of what I have been sewing this month.  I made some MORE outfits my new neice.  Here they are

The top is from an older ottobre magazine, pants are clearance from Old Navy

Now that I have sewn up all my itty bits of stash fabric it is on to sewing for my kids.

The Month of October

Has needless to say been CRAZY around here.  Here are some pictures from our very busy month.

It started off with our rose bush giving us this beautiful pink rose to look at

We also had a very pretty orange tree in our front yard

On October the 31st we had homemade dough nuts and apple cider

We also managed to have one last bon-fire, of sorts.  It got dark really quick on us that night, so I only got a picture of the fire, but I think it is a neat pricture

I have a niece!!!!!

Well, she’s a couple weeks old now, but I finally have a spare minute to share a pic of her (in a auntie made outfit).

She was born On 10-9-08 and weighed in at 10lbs 13 ounces.

Diapers, re-lived

I have been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.

I just finished a batch of diapers for a friend, who is switching to cloth diapers.  This is by far my favorite one size diaper pattern.  NO snaps, NO special adjustments, just a plain easy to use diaper.  It is the KCK One pattern you can get it here

Anyhow here is a picture of her new stash, okay not her new stash, but her daughters I hope she LOVES them as much as I loved making them.  Yes I do have an addiction to sewing cloth diapers.  Except I do feel kinda strange promoting cloth diaper when my own child does not wear them anymore.   I am so busy doing sewing for other(not that this is a bad thing) but I cannot get a new size of diapers made for my little mans hiney.  Maybe soon :).

This is what has consumed for the last week and a half.  We won’t go into the few minor things that went wrong on these diapers, because in the end they are ALL wonderful.

What has been happening here?

in one simple four letter word LIFE.

The three oldest are now in school and left me with two little ones at home.  Since school started I have returned to work and am adjusting although, I DO NOT have as much time as I used to.  The girls have all adjusted to school well and are doing great.

The two little ones LOVE going to play at there “friend” house two days aweek while mommy and daddy are at work.

I have some pictures and other things to write about, but that will wait for another day.
